During the summer vacation, Penghu is a popular travel destination, and the Penghu Fireworks Festival is also a major draw for visitors. This year, in addition to the fireworks festival, Penghu is hosting its first-ever “Island-Hopping Carnival,” offering travelers an even more vibrant experience of the islands’ charm.

On August 19th, the “Blue Highway Tour of Penghu” event kicks off first. In recent years, maritime tourism in Penghu has seen growing visitor numbers. With the Longbu route opening at the end of April this year, various activities are being organized to encourage tourists to explore the Blue Highways, including the Longbu, Mabu, and Magao routes. These include a lottery draw with ferry tickets, as well as summer camps at the Longmen Underground Tunnels. With the stunning sunset at Longmen Harbor and dazzling nightly fireworks, visitors can enjoy a brand-new island-hopping experience across Taiwan and Penghu.

On August 28th, the Qixi Valentine’s Day celebration brings romantic sparks to the holiday. Against the backdrop of scenic beaches, events include a romantic beach sunset wedding fashion show, a beachside concert, and a spectacular fireworks display under the night sky. Couples and friends from all over are invited to join in the fun and celebrate love in the most heartwarming way.

Starting on September 11th, the two-week-long “Roll On, Magong!” Old Town Rock event begins. The first day features a beautiful fireworks show blessing the rebirth of old Magong at Guanyin Pavilion. Over the two weeks, activities will include a street performers’ gathering, umbrella rock concerts, tours of Magong’s historic shops, guided stories of old Magong, and a parade through Magong with the Global Travel Queen and Penghu’s martial palanquin—offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity that showcases the distinct spirit of “Old Magong City.”

From September 22nd to 24th, the sixth edition of the “Fate Awaits ! Rock Music Festival” will grandly take place at Historic Park. Enjoy performances by local and international bands from the UK and USA, all joining together for a massive rock platform. In the evening, there will also be a beautiful fireworks show near Guanyin Pavilion by the park.
