The“Lovingly Colorful, Blooming on the菊 Island”Flower Sea Festival is a unique floral exhibition in Penghu during winter. This year, the event is being held at the Penghu Leisure Park. Visitors to Penghu can now add flower viewing to their winter itinerary, alongside exploring historical sites and enjoying seaside activities.

Originally scheduled for September, the Penghu Flower Sea Festival was delayed due to Typhoon Soudelor, taking two months for full restoration—yet the charm of the flower sea remains undiminished. This year’s flower sea features yellow cosmos as well as red, pink, yellow, white, and mixed varieties of zinnias and petunias, covering an area of over 1 hectare. Decorative elements such as oxcarts and character billboard landscapes are interspersed throughout, allowing visitors not only to appreciate the beauty of the flowers but also to enjoy the scenic combination of cultural elements and floral displays.

As one of the natural ecological hubs in Penghu, the Penghu Leisure Park includes areas such as the Honey Garden, Fruit Tree Garden, Forest Experience Zone, Wetland Ecology Area, Soil and Water Conservation Classroom, Tourist Nursery, and Family Grassland Area. Now, with the added attraction of the flower sea, it has become even more of a great leisure destination in Penghu. Want to go on an ecological adventure?
