The New Taipei Christmas Town “Santa Bear Memorial Scarf” will warm your heart!

The cute and stylish “Santa Bear Memorial Scarf” of New Taipei City’s Joyful Christmas Town officially made its debut on the 24th. It comes in two colors: red and gray. The red ones are given away for free and not for sale, while the gray ones will be sold at the event site for NT$650 each. The New Taipei City Government’s Tourism and Travel Bureau has also designedthe “Online Lucky Draw for the 2015 New Taipei City Joyful Christmas Town Memorial Scarf”, hoping that these adorable and fashionable Santa Bear scarves will keep both adults and children warm as they enjoy the Christmas Town.

The 2015 New Taipei City Joyful Christmas Town officially opened on the evening of the 20th this month. To counter the chill of the Christmas season, the New Taipei City Government’s Tourism and Travel Bureau launchedthe Christmas Town Memorial Scarf, selecting the Santa Bear — a symbol of warmth and happiness — as the main character, combining a fashionable scarf with a cute bear head design.

The New Taipei Traveler fan page will also hold a lucky draw. The giveaway period runs from noon on November 25th to 27th, a limited 48-hour window. Simply leave a comment on the fan page saying “I have a New Taipei Christmas scarf, I’m not afraid of the cold wave!” and make the post public and share it. This will give you a chance to win a limited-edition red Santa Bear scarf and an old-school pair of glasses.

If members of the public wish to purchase directly, during the New Taipei Christmas Town event period, the first-ever Christmas market will also be held, featuring nine different types of Bear Family Christmas series merchandise, including the scarf. However, the scarves sold on-site are the gray version — the red ones are only available through the lucky draw. Those who want the red scarf will have to try their luck online.
