Chongning Confucius Temple

Chongning Confucius Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Sichuan Province.

Chongning Confucius Temple is located at No. 86 Xizheng Street, Tangchang Town, Pidu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. The temple complex covers an area of approximately 35 mu (about 2.3 hectares), with a total floor space of over 1,000 square meters. Existing structures include the Dacheng Hall, east and west wing rooms, and the Pan Pond. Historical records indicate that the temple was originally built during the Song Dynasty and later reconstructed in the 25th year of the Guangxu reign in the late Qing Dynasty (1899). The Dacheng Hall features five bays, measuring 22.75 meters in width, 13.3 meters in depth, and 15.48 meters in total height. It is constructed with a traditional wooden raised-beam structure and topped with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof covered with glazed tiles. The roof ridges are adorned with intricate relief carvings and other decorative elements. Chongning Confucius Temple is large in scale, architecturally majestic, and represents a fine example of Qing Dynasty architecture. In 2007, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site by the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.

Protected area: The boundaries extend 40 meters to the east, 76 meters to the west, 105 meters to the south, and 66 meters to the north from the drip line around the Dacheng Hall.

Construction control zone: A buffer of 10 meters beyond the protected area.
