Western Sichuan Linpan is a composite living model that integrates production, daily life, and landscape. It is a vivid representation of Tianfu culture, the farming civilization of the Chengdu Plain, and the architectural style of western Sichuan residences. It possesses rich aesthetic, cultural, and ecological value. It is not only a treasure of western Sichuan’s farming culture but also a crystallization of traditional agrarian civilization, playing an important role in maintaining the ecological environment of the Chengdu Plain.
With the launch of the first batch of Linpan scenic areas in Chengdu, those with distinctive features have been warmly welcomed by the public. To earnestly implement the city’s "Ten Key Projects" and "Five Key Reforms" aimed at advancing rural revitalization and integrated urban-rural development, as well as the Western Sichuan Linpan Conservation and Restoration Plan, and to adhere to the principles of "landscaping, scenic development, accessibility, and participation," the Chengdu Tourism Standards Evaluation Committee has organized the selection of the second batch of A-level Linpan scenic areas since September this year. Recently, the Chengdu Tourism Standards Evaluation Committee has proposed to designate 17 units, including Chalan Linpan Scenic Area, as AAA-level Linpan scenic areas, and 9 units, including Fenshui Linpan Scenic Area, as AA-level Linpan scenic areas. The list is currently under public notice, with the notice period running from December 5 to December 11.
