The 24th China International RV & Camping Congress Opens Grandly in Chengdu in 2019

      On October 24, 2019, under the guidance of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition, the People's Government of Pidu District, Chengdu, the Pidu District Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Sports, Broadcasting, New Media, the Pidu District Bureau of Commerce, and the Youai Subdistrict Office of Pidu District, and organized by 21st Century RV, RV World, and the Chengdu RV & Camping Self-Drive Tourism Association, and hosted by Beijing Camper RV Exhibition Co., Ltd., Sichuan Camper RV Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Palm World RV Campsite, the 3rd Chengdu RV & Camping Outdoor Tourism Exhibition and the 24th China International RV & Camping Congress, themed “Leading the Future of China’s RV Industry,” grandly opened at the Chengdu Palm World RV Campsite in Youai Town, Pidu District, Chengdu.

      2020 marks the final year of China’s 13th Five-Year Plan. As a pioneering city in implementing the plan, Chengdu has actively formulated its own 13th Five-Year Tourism Development Plan. In recent years, under the leadership of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and other departments, Chengdu’s tourism industry has seen strong growth. With the increasing popularity of RV travel as an entirely new way to explore, Pidu District of Chengdu has responded to new demands and opportunities in domestic tourism consumption by vigorously cultivating new tourism formats, driving changes in travel methods, promoting all-for-one tourism development, and achieving organic integration of regional resources and cross-industry growth. This approach leverages tourism to drive and support coordinated economic and social development.

      2019 marks the third year that the Chengdu International RV & Camping Outdoor Tourism Exhibition has been held in Chengdu. This edition of the Chengdu RV Exhibition is a supported project jointly introduced by the People's Government of Pidu District, Chengdu, the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition, and others. As the geographic origin landmark city of China’s Tourism Dual-Line theory, Chengdu has made outstanding contributions to the development of the outdoor tourism industry and to building itself into a world-renowned historical and cultural city by leveraging favorable conditions.

      The exhibition lasts for four days, from October 24 to 27. This edition specially invited leading domestic RV brands to participate, featuring over 100 exhibiting brands, 500 camping vehicles, an estimated 2,000 campers, 50,000 visitors, and covering an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. The exhibition showcases a wide range of RV industry products, including RVs, chassis manufacturing, RV parts, campsite design, campsite equipment, cabins, and outdoor gear. It brings together hundreds of well-known domestic and international brands in Pidu District, Chengdu, such as Yutong Kairunbinwei, Jinghang, Tuoruisite, Lanzhong, JMC, Yate, SAIC MAXUS, Longcui, Qixing, Sino-US Nuoyou, Guanlin, Huayun, Weihao, Lingyang, Said, Kuange Yima, Benshidun, Chuangqishanshan, Shunyu, Phoenix, Eden, Xinfei, Fengchao, Huachen, Hengyu, Simei, Xinyuan, Jingmei, Meizhong, Aolv, Huabao, Qiaoxiang, Yutai, Huabao, Meijing Meijia, Sunshine Shangyou, Nanjixing, Zhengyueli, Deyiyuan RV, Chengzhan, Bingdian Xiansheng, Suxing, Xiongdi Jiedeng, Bafang Ruijie, Gaoze, Xijie, Oubyaa, Arena, Hongshengda, Ruisaite, Bulin Outdoor, Yugong Outdoor, and more, all showcasing their latest products and technologies.

      Held concurrently with this edition of the Chengdu RV Exhibition is the “2019 China (Chengdu) International Outdoor Tourism & RV Camping Industry Summit Forum and the 5th Anniversary Symposium on the Release of the China Tourism Dual-Line Theory.” Co-founders of 21st Century RV, including Wang Xudong, along with seasoned RV enthusiasts, presented interactive activities for RV travelers and enthusiasts, such as “How to Choose the Right RV for You,” “How to Plan the Perfect RV Trip – Domestic Edition,” and “How to Plan the Perfect RV Trip – International Edition.”
