Jiulong Mountain-Lutang Mountain Tourist Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Jiulong Mountain-Lutang Mountain Tourist Area is located in the northwest of Mianzhu City, Deyang, nestled at the foot of the Longmen Mountains. It is a well-known national 4A-level tourist attraction in Sichuan, situated just 6.5 kilometers from downtown Mianzhu and reachable by car in just 10 minutes to the core scenic area. Relying on abundant historical and cultural resources as well as beautiful natural ecological landscapes, the area focuses on “green mountains, clear waters, culture, and leisure,” making coordinated use of resource advantages both on the mountain and at its base. By integrating tourism resources such as rose hot springs, hiking and fitness activities, paragliding and grass sliding, and farm stays, it has become a new-style rural tourism destination that combines mountain scenery, leisure and recreation along the hills, eco-agricultural sightseeing, and resort living in town. It stands out as a shining pearl along Mianzhu’s scenic hillside tourism belt.

The scenic area is about 46 kilometers from downtown Deyang. Visitors can travel via the Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway, then switch to the Deyang (Yang)-Mao County Expressway to reach Mianzhu, with public buses available within the city. The area serves as a distinctive rural tourism zone integrating functions such as agricultural sightseeing, science education, fitness and entertainment, religious tours, and leisure vacationing. Covering an area of over a hundred square kilometers, a 50-kilometer-long hillside tourism highway connects seven towns and more than 100,000 people along the hillsides of Mianzhu. The area features dense forests resembling a sea, fragrant flowers and fruits, distinct four seasons, ample rainfall, rich and diverse flora and fauna, and a favorable ecological environment. The Chengdu Plain and the Longmen Mountain Range blend seamlessly here, with cultural and natural landscapes complementing each other. Major attractions include the Ecological Tea Garden Sightseeing Park, Mandarin Duck Lake, Lotus Lake, Recumbent Ox Lake, Sanxi Temple, Jixiang Temple, Yanxian Temple, Yunwu Temple, and the New Year Painting Corridor.

Travel Transportation:

Driving — 1) First get on the Third Ring Road, enter Rongdu Avenue via the Sichuan-Shaanxi Interchange, then join the Ring Expressway. Follow signs for G5 Highway (Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway, toward Mianyang) to save 8 yuan compared to the Chengbei Expressway toll; or you can directly take the Chengbei Expressway to the Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway. 2) Exit at Deyang South (Bajiao), turn right after exiting the expressway (do not follow signs for left turns). After turning right, make the first left at the intersection, then go straight—the road signs will lead all the way to Mianzhu.

Public Bus — From Chengdu’s Zhaojue Bus Station (also called Qinglongchang), there are direct buses to Mianzhu South Bus Station every 30 minutes from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Then transfer to a bus to Jiulong Mountain from Mianzhu South Bus Station.
