Zhongling Lake

Zhongling Lake is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Zhongling Reservoir is located in Kaibu Village, Zhongling Township. Completed in 1978, it is the largest reservoir in terms of water storage capacity in our county. It is 28 kilometers from the county seat and enjoys convenient transportation. Situated on the upper reaches of the Meijiang River, the reservoir boasts crystal-clear water, a well-preserved environment, and lush vegetation, making it an ideal destination for tourism, leisure, and vacation.

Located in the southwestern part of Xiushan County, Zhongling Lake Scenic Area is 22 kilometers from the county seat. The reservoir covers a catchment area of 92.6 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 800 meters and a forest coverage rate of 70%. The core scenic area, Chenjiaba, features 58 wooden houses and 95 rural tourism guesthouses. The area boasts unique landscapes such as the Echoing Wall, Stone Bamboo Cluster, Immortal Cave, Guanyin Rock, and the Eighteen Arhats, as well as the “King of Ancient Asian Ginkgo Trees,” which is over 2,000 years old.
