The former model site of "Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture" in Hunan – Yejiping Agricultural and Water Conservancy Heritage is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hunan Province.

The former model site of "Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture" in Hunan – Yejiping Agricultural and Water Conservancy Heritage is located in Zhuocao Township, Shaodong County, Shaoyang City, dating back to 1966.

During the 1960s and 1970s, all members of the Yejiping Brigade (now Yejiping Village, Zhuocao Township) of the former Zhuocao People's Commune in Shaodong County, Hunan Province, adhered to the principles of self-reliance and hard struggle. Over the course of more than ten years, they carried rocks by hand and shoulder, drilled through one rocky mountain, removed three, and leveled five rocky ridges. They developed over 100 plots of fertile farmland totaling more than 80 acres on severely rocky and barren hills. The grain yield per mu of the brigade increased from just over 200 jin to over 900 jin, creating a miracle of turning rocky hills into fertile fields. Yejiping Village became a model of its time.

In 2019, the former model site of "Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture" in Hunan – Yejiping Agricultural and Water Conservancy Heritage was approved as part of the tenth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Hunan Province.

The township covers an area of 50.25 square kilometers and governs 29 administrative villages, with a total of 11,676 mu of arable land.
