Glamour, Transformation, and New Horizons – The 4-Month New Taipei City Arts Festival

The “2010 New Taipei City Arts Festival” is organized around five major themes, featuring teams from Australia, Italy, the United States, Malaysia, Macau, Hong Kong, and other regions sharing culture and art with the public. Events include “International Performances” from July 31 to September 5 at Bitan Lake in Xindian, “Cultural Onslaught” taking place across New Taipei City from July 23 to September 24, “Environmental Theater” integrating the local landscape from August 22 to October 23, “Theater Highlights” at New Taipei City’s cultural centers from July 7 to October 24, with performances by leading local troupes such as Pingfeng Performing Arts Troupe, Green Light Theater, and Zhu Zongqing Percussion Ensemble, and “Citizen Art Workshops.”

This week, on August 7 and 8, the international performances at Bitan Lake in Xindian will feature Australia’s “Axis Acrobatic Rock Symphony Orchestra” presenting 【Vivaldi’s Summer Rock】. High-flying acrobatics combined with live electronic rock music, set against the shimmering waters of Bitan Lake, promise an unprecedented sensory experience. It’s a perfect opportunity for families to spend an unforgettable Father’s Day together.
