New Taipei City YouBike to Add Five Rental Stations in Xinzhuang in July

The YouBike smile bikes continue to expand across New Taipei City. Currently, a total of six stations have been set up in Xindian and Xizhi districts. Taking into account the convenience of the Xinzhuang MRT Line, the New Taipei City Government has evaluated potential locations and decided to establish new rental stations at Danfeng Administrative Center, Fuying Administrative Center, Hougang Park, Xisheng Park, and Jiedanfeng Station. These are expected to be operational in July.

New Taipei City’s originally launched NewBike system, which could not integrate with YouBike, drew considerable criticism after its introduction last year. In response to public opinion, the city government expedited the launch of the first YouBike station in Xindian before the end of last year. Four months after its debut, six stations have now been established: “Dapeng Huacheng Station” and “MRT Dapinglin Station” in Xindian District, “Yulon Park,” as well as “Cathay General Hospital,” “Xizhi District Office,” and “Xizhi Railway Station” in Xizhi District.

Additionally, New Taipei City aims to have 60 YouBike stations and 1,600 bicycles set up across the city by the end of this year.
