The New Taipei City Children's Art Festival features a five-story Captain Hook & gives away 3,000 LEGO sets at opening

From July 30 to August 7, the 2016 New Taipei City Children's Art Festival will be held at the Civic Plaza in New Taipei City. This year, in addition to a five-story-tall Captain Hook, 3,000 free LEGO toy sets will be given away as opening gifts.

The 2016 New Taipei City Children's Art Festival features various themed zones including a fairy tale castle, Captain Hook, a pirate ship, and a New Taipei City fairy tale area, along with giant installations such as Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, and the Three Little Pigs. Throughout the event, different performance troupes will take the stage daily, including acrobatic groups, children's theater troupes, and South Korea’s JUMP kung fu show.

At 16:00 on August 6, a joyful costume parade will be held from Fuzhong Commercial District to the New Taipei City Civic Plaza, with over 30 fairy tale characters and performance teams joining the street parade. To complement the Children's Art Festival, a series of activities will also take place at Banqiao 435 Art Zone, Xinban Yilang, and Fuzhong 15 Documentary Cinema.
