Glamour, transformation, and new horizons—the 4-month-long "New Taipei City Arts Festival"

The "2010 New Taipei City Arts Festival" is organized into five major themes, featuring teams from Australia, Italy, the United States, Malaysia, Macau, Hong Kong, and other countries sharing culture and art with the public. Highlights include the “International Performances” from July 31 to September 5 at Bitan in Xindian, the “Cultural Offensive” that delves deep into New Taipei City from July 23 to September 24, the environmentally integrated “Environmental Theater” from August 22 to October 23, the “Theater Spotlight” from July 7 to October 24 at New Taipei City’s cultural centers featuring performances by top local troupes such as Pingfeng Performing Arts Troupe, Green Ray Theater, and Ju Percussion Group, as well as the “Citizens' Art Workshops.”

This week, on August 7 and 8, the international performance at Bitan in Xindian features Australia’s “Axis Sound & Acrobatics Symphony Orchestra” presenting [Vivaldi’s Summer Rock]. Combining high-flying acrobatics with live electronic rock music against the shimmering waters of Bitan, this offers an unprecedented sensory experience.
