Wenfeng Pagoda, originally named Wenbi Peak, was built atop Xiaosai Mountain in Wenfeng Township. Construction began in the ninth year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1804) and was rebuilt in the 26th year of the Daoguang reign (1846). The original pagoda had seven tiers and stood 22 meters tall, but four tiers were later destroyed by lightning.
