The “Yan Emperor Shennong’s Relic” Tablet and Cave is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

The “Yan Emperor Shennong’s Relic” Tablet and Cave

Located on Jiulong Mountain in Xingfu Village, Lishan Town. Carved in the fifth year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1577), the tablet is made of white granite, with a round top and square base. It measures 2.08 meters in total height, 0.96 meters in width, and 0.23 meters in thickness. The inscription is in regular script, with the vertical characters “Yan Emperor Shennong’s Relic” inscribed in the center, the heading “Fifth Year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, Auspicious Day in Midsummer,” and the signature “Erected by Yin Cunyu, Prefect of Suizhou, Hubei’s De’an Prefecture, under the Shu Changlong Commandery.” (Third Batch)
