Yejiashan Cemetery is a cultural heritage site protected by the Hubei Provincial Government.

Yejiashan Cemetery

Located in Jiangzhai Village, Xihé Town, Economic Development Zone, Suizhou City, this is a Western Zhou Dynasty cemetery. Situated on an oval-shaped hill running from north to south on the east bank of the Piaoshui River, it measures approximately 400 meters in length from north to south and about 100 meters in width from east to west, covering an area of around 40,000 square meters. From 2011 to 2013, archaeologists excavated more than 140 Western Zhou tombs and 7 horse pits. Most of the tombs contained burial objects. A large number of artifacts such as pottery, bronze ware, porcelain, lacquered woodware, and jade and stone items were unearthed. Many of the bronze vessels from the tombs bear inscriptions such as "Marquis of Zeng" and "Marquis of Zeng, Jian," indicating that the site is related to the State of Zeng and holds significant academic value.
