The Xugudui Han Tombs are a protected cultural heritage site under the jurisdiction of Henan Province.

The Xugudui Han Tombs are ancient tombs from the Western Han Dynasty, located in Liangyuan District, Shangqiu City, Henan Province. The complex includes: Xugudui, Zhugudui, Shengudui, Sanlingtai, and Laojuntai. Located in Wanglou Township in the western part of Liangyuan District, Shangqiu City, the nomination process began in 2000. After three years of rigorous review and research by experts, the site was finally confirmed as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in July 2010.

A National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit is the highest level of protection granted by the People’s Republic of China to immovable cultural heritage, officially approved by the State Council. These “National Protected” sites can be considered national cultural treasures. The fact that culturally rich Liangyuan now boasts its first National Protected site is a source of pride for all local residents.
