Every turn reveals stunning views – Nantou’s Jiujufeng Eco-Art Park opens on the 25th

The "Jiujufeng Eco-Art Park" in Caotun Township, Nantou County, led by the Ministry of Culture,J” officially commenced operations on the morning of the 25th. To preserve the natural ecological elements of the park, a low-density development and management model will be adopted in the future to enhance the park’s vitality and artistic appeal, making it another great leisure and tourism destination in Caotun, Nantou.

The original concept for the park was the “National Art Village,” which was put on hold for many years due to the impact of the September 21 earthquake in 1999. Later, as the geological and forest conditions stabilized, plans to renovate the park space were resumed. Starting in October 2011, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute took over the management of the park, undertaking environmental planning and landscaping projects, including the renovation of the 4.8-hectare Ecological Art Museum and overall park beautification.

Since its official opening on August 25, visitors to the “Jiufeng Ecological Art Park” can explore the exhibits in the Ecological Art Museum. In conjunction with the opening event, the “Organic Perception ~ Art Exhibition of Natural Material Expression” will be held, running from August 25 to December 7. Visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate works by several renowned Taiwanese artists up close.

Additionally, the park features multiple pieces of public art, allowing you to enjoy the forest environment with birdsong and insect chirps while gaining a deeper appreciation for the integration of nature, art, and craftsmanship through the artists’ creations.
