Dongweizi Site

The Dongweizi Site is a Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Dongweizi Site is located in Wanggezhuang Town, Muping District, Yantai City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty. In 2013, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of Shandong Provincial-level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Wanggezhuang Town: Wanggezhuang Town in Muping District, Yantai City, is located in the northern part of the Jiaodong Peninsula, in the southwestern mountainous region of Muping, covering a total area of 135 square kilometers. It governs 53 administrative villages with a population of 22,600. The town enjoys convenient transportation by sea, land, and air. The Wenzhu and Gaoma highways run through the area. It is 35 kilometers from the urban district and about 40–50 kilometers from Yantai Airport, seaport, and train station. The area has sufficient water and electricity resources and advanced communication infrastructure, with over 4,000 program-controlled telephone lines enabling global connectivity.
