A male hiker in Dongmao Mountain, Heping District, Taichung City, suddenly became unconscious and lost vital signs at noon today. The Taichung City Fire Department requested helicopter rescue, and he was successfully lifted down the mountain and sent to Dongshi Farmers' Hospital for emergency treatment around 3 pm.
A report was received by the Taichung City Fire Department at around 12 pm today stating that among a group of 20 hikers who had just reached the summit and were resting, a male hiker surnamed Yang suddenly became unresponsive, with no breathing or heartbeat, requiring urgent rescue.
Upon receiving the report, the fire department immediately dispatched personnel up the mountain and requested helicopter assistance. At 2:57 pm, the rescue airlift was successfully carried out, and at 3:10 pm, the patient was airlifted and landed at Dongshi Riverside Park, where an ambulance transported him to Dongshi Farmers' Hospital for emergency care. 1050828
