On March 27, 2015, the opening ceremony of the 12th Beijing Changping Xiaotangshan Hot Spring Culture Festival, jointly organized by the People's Government of Changping District, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture, and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, and hosted by relevant departments in Changping District, was held at the Changping Strawberry Expo Park.
Themed "Leisure, Wellness, and Hot Spring Enjoyment – Fall in Love with Changping Xiaotangshan," the event consists of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 12th Beijing Changping Xiaotangshan Hot Spring Culture Festival, as well as themed activities such as "Enjoy Changping Hot Springs, Visit Dongli Amusement Park, and Admire Tangshan Scenery," "Hot Spring City Romance," "Friends of the Springs Connection," "Spring Springs Online Gathering," and the "Village MALL" Shopping & Touring Season.
