Hundred Bats Suspension Bridge.
The Bat Cave was an artificial irrigation channel dug during the Qing Dynasty by the Taiping Lin family to irrigate their farmland. It connected three mountains and diverted water from Toupienkeng Creek to irrigate the land near the Earth God Temple. After the 87 Flood, the water washed away a small rock mound beneath the Bat Cave entrance, causing the water inlet to lose function due to lack of water intake. Now, the extended Bat Cave trail in Taiping District will revive the river-crossing water diversion channel and the bamboo shoot transport path once used for convenient bamboo shoot harvesting.
