The Ma’an Dam Ecological Park is a transformation of the Dajiaxi Power Plant. It integrates forest water resources, power technology, and natural ecology. It is not only the core of hydropower generation in central Taiwan but also an ecological corridor rich in fish, birds, butterflies, macaques, wild boars, and plants. There is also a bicycle station that provides a resting spot for cyclists. Visitors can plan a trip here to enjoy the nearby forest’s phytoncides.

The Huan Shan Tribe was formerly known as Sqoyaw (Zhijianyang She) and was called Shinsho during the Japanese colonial period. It is located upstream of the Dajiaxi River in Heping, Taichung. Surrounded by high mountains such as Nanhu Mountain and Snow Mountain, it earned the name Huan Shan (Surrounding Mountains) Tribe. The Huan Shan Tribe has distinct features in each of its four seasons — spring peach and plum blossoms, summer honey pears, autumn red foliage, and winter sweet persimmons. No matter when you visit throughout the year, you can experience the unique beauty of each season.
