This year's large day-night temperature differences have caused the plum blossoms to bloom early. In Tainan’s Meiling Scenic Area, they are currently blossoming sporadically, gradually spreading from the mountains down to the foothills. Popular spots to admire the blossoms include Wulong Trail and Fulaishih Century-Old Plum Garden, where you can stroll and enjoy the beautiful sight of the blooming plum blossoms.

The main hotspots for plum blossom viewing in Meiling Scenic Area are four trails: Wulong Trail, Meilong Trail, Meifeng Ancient Trail, and Guanyin Trail. Plum trees line all of them, with Wulong Trail offering gentler slopes and a greater abundance of plum trees—perfect for families to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the blossoms while also taking in the breathtaking view of the Zengwen Reservoir.

The four major trails in Meiling—Wulong Trail, Meilong Trail, Meifeng Ancient Trail, and Guanyin Trail—are richly lined with plum trees.

If you're lucky, you might even catch a majestic sea of clouds when hiking the ancient trails.

Currently, Meifeng Ancient Trail features sights such as camellias, purple peonies, mountain cherry blossoms, red bell trees, and azaleas. If you're lucky, you might also catch a majestic sea of clouds when hiking the ancient trail.

The blooming plum trees display gorgeous white blossoms that are a true feast for the eyes.

Besides admiring the plum blossoms, you can also explore nearby attractions and plan a 2-day, 1-night trip.
