Yantai Tea Culture Experience Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Built upon premium tea resources from the northern high-latitude ecological tea region and drawing on the historic Taoist tea culture of Kunyu Mountain, the Yantai Tea Culture Experience Park takes "experiencing tea culture and immersing in the realm of tea" as its theme, and has carefully developed unique tea culture experiences. The park houses nearly a hundred varieties of tea trees and includes multiple experience zones such as the Hundred Teas Garden, the Hundred Herbs Garden, the Hundred Fruits Garden, a tea-picking experience area, a tea processing demonstration zone, a tea etiquette learning area, a tea art performance center, an organic fruit and vegetable picking area, a health tea cuisine area, a fishing area, a homestay and camping area, an ecological breeding observation area, a comprehensive leisure area, an adventure activity area, and a children’s play area. It has been developed as a multifunctional eco-tourism destination focused primarily on science education and research, supplemented by experiential sightseeing.

Located on the north side of the main peak of Kunyu Mountain—known as the "Ancestor of Immortal Mountains"—in Dongtang Village, Longquan Town, Muping District, Yantai City, the Yantai Tea Culture Experience Park covers an area of over 1,000 acres. The valley where the park is situated boasts excellent water quality and fresh air. The soil in the park is gravelly loam derived from shale, with deep layers rich in minerals. The water quality within the park is outstanding (part of it comes from natural precipitation originating from the tea garden's watershed, completely unpolluted; the other part comes from a 200-meter-deep well, which has been certified by authoritative departments to exceed mineral water standards). This creates the optimal environment in northern China for tea tree cultivation. Emphasizing eco-friendly tea garden management, years of planting practice have given rise to a unique local green cultivation model known as “predatory mites—yellow sticky boards—insect traps.” The park adopts an intercropping system of fruit trees, flower tea plants, and tea trees, allowing insects to prey on insects, microbes to kill germs, the garden to nurture the tea, and the tea to nurture the garden. It is one of the rare high-latitude ecological tea gardens in China.

Parking Information: The scenic area parking lot has a total area of 1,050 square meters, consisting of two separate parking areas for small and large vehicles. The space is utilized rationally with zoned parking. Directional signs are provided within the parking area, and there are staff members assigned to manage traffic flow. Separate entrances and exits help prevent congestion. The parking surface consists of cement and leveled stone slabs, ensuring hardened and unobstructed roads. Signs are clearly marked and standardized, personnel management is efficient, and the traffic layout is rational. The parking facilities generally meet the needs of visitor capacity and are well coordinated with the surrounding landscape.

Friendly Reminder: The scenic area offers smooth touring routes with expansive views. The walking loop around the tea garden takes approximately 45 minutes. Most paths are specially designed walking trails, with picking gardens along the way where visitors can harvest and taste produce. The scenery is picturesque, with beautiful skylines visible in the distance. Numerous informational signs are placed along the paths, offering introductions to sights and tea knowledge, adding a cultural touch. Visitors can stroll through this mountain trail, connect intimately with nature, enjoy the scenery while engaging in aerobic breathing, and immerse themselves in the rhythm of nature as they walk through the valley.

Northern Ecological Tea Garden: Situated on a south-facing slope, this over 300-acre garden cultivates more than 100 nationally renowned high-quality tea varieties. Tea trees are interplanted with ginkgo, wolfberry, polygonatum, astragalus, ginseng, mulberry, cherry, fig, apricot, peach, grape, kiwi, chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, and bamboo. This approach achieves a landscaped tea area, improved tea tree varieties, and precise tea garden management. The garden also includes a modern tea processing factory equipped with various advanced processing facilities.

Southern Eco-Picking and Leisure Garden: Covering over 80 acres, this area adopts an eco-farming and breeding model, supplying visitors with the highest quality and safest fruits, vegetables, poultry, and other specialty agricultural products. It also features special attractions such as tea culture dining, RV camping, seasonal fruit and vegetable picking, a children’s amusement park, an outdoor adventure field, and an interactive ecological breeding zone.

In accordance with forest fire prevention and fire safety requirements, the entire park is equipped with timely fire sand pits. Wooden protective barriers have been installed around the park’s reservoirs and terraces, and prominent no-smoking and no-open-flame signs have been posted at the entrance.
