Jining Xiaobei Lake Park (Tai Bai Lake Tourist Resort) is located in the southern part of Jining city, at the junction of the four provinces of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui. To the south lies the vast and misty Weishan Lake, to the north stands the majestic Mount Tai (one of China’s Five Great Mountains), to the east connects to Qufu—the hometown of Confucius, and to the west borders the Water Margin Liangshan area. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a provincial-level tourist resort in Shandong Province.

The lake features wide waters, fresh air, and a pleasant climate. In midsummer, tens of thousands of lotus flowers bloom simultaneously, creating a breathtaking scene described by the poetic lines “Boundless lotus leaves extend to the sky in endless green, while lotus blossoms glow red under the sun.” “Xiaobei Lake is as beautiful as a painting”—currently, “Xiaobei Lake Road” and “Lotus Avenue” have been constructed to connect the urban area with the lake. The scenic area offers pleasure boats, yachts, a fishing center, as well as a five-hectare lakeside swimming pool. A variety of water sports activities such as swimming, surfing, and kayaking are also available.
