The Near Lake Spring Stele is a cultural heritage protection unit of Weishan County.

The Near Lake Spring Stele is located in Xizhang'a Village, Weishan Island Town, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

It was announced as part of the fifth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Weishan County on October 24, 2019.

Weishan Island Town: Weishan Island boasts vast waters and abundant resources, long famed as the “Land of Golden Sunrise.” Its fish species alone include seventy-two varieties from fifty genera and fifty families across ten orders, with prominent types such as carp, crucian carp, perch, silver carp, and red and white eel. Common shellfish include the Chinese pond snail and the Chinese apple snail. The meat of the Chinese pond snail is exported to many countries and regions around the world, including Japan. The folded crown mussel is also well known as it can be used as a host mussel for pearl cultivation. Major shrimp species include the green shrimp, white rice shrimp, Chinese grass shrimp (Neocaridina denticulata sinensis), and Chinese flowerback shrimp (Macrobrachium nipponense).
