The Fangtou North Village Gate is a cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

The Fangtou North Village Gate is located in Fangtou North Village, Liangcheng Town, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty. It is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit of Jining City. The term "city gate" should actually be "stockade gate," as this ancient structure is believed to be a remnant of a stockade built to defend against bandits in those times.

Liangcheng Town: Located on the shores of Dushan Lake—one of the four southern lakes—Liangcheng Town covers a total area of 130 square kilometers, including 110,000 mu of water surface and 43,000 mu of arable land. It administers 48 administrative villages and has a population of 75,000.

Liangcheng derived its name from the Kuangcheng and Maocheng fortresses of the Warring States period. With a long history, abundant talent, and rich culture, the area has yielded numerous historical relics. These include the Nanhao Village Northwest Platform site from the Dawenkou Culture period, the Jijialin site from the Warring States period, Han Dynasty tombs, and Han Dynasty stone reliefs—all evidence that humans have lived and thrived here for 6,000 years.
