Secondary Dam Wetland

The Secondary Dam Wetland is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Weishan Lake Secondary Dam Scenic Area is located in the picturesque central part of Weishan Lake and serves as the boundary between the upper and lower sections of the lake. It lies 30 kilometers south of the Weishan Island scenic area, which includes the Tomb of Prince Weizi and the Tomb of Zhang Liang, and 30 kilometers north of Nanyang Island and the Temple of Fuxi. The South-to-North Water Diversion Project has established a secondary ship lock and a water-lifting pumping station here, while the cross-lake bridge features four locks spanning 4.6 kilometers.

The Weishan Lake Secondary Dam Scenic Area has a total investment of approximately 800 million RMB and covers a planned area of 1.5 million square meters. The development plan aims to create a nationally recognized, garden-style ecological tourism destination through the construction of various themed parks, landscapes, clubs, wetland parks, and recreational facilities. It will serve as an ideal venue for urban dwellers and tourists from all over, offering a comprehensive experience that includes “leisure, vacation, socializing, fitness, and entertainment.”
