Dongda Agricultural Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Dongda Agricultural Park in Weishan County is located in Dong Village, Huancheng Town, at the junction of Zao-Cao Road and the western outer ring road of Huancheng. With a total investment of 150 million yuan and a planned area of 2,000 mu, it was built by the Dongda Organic Fruits and Vegetables Professional Cooperative of Weishan County. It is a result of land reclamation and rehabilitation in a coal mining subsidence area. Its functional positioning includes: eco-agricultural sightseeing, tourism and vacation, leisure and entertainment, and the production of organic fruits and vegetables. Vegetable Production Area: Thirty steel-frame, solar greenhouse sheds have been constructed, covering a total area of 360,000 square meters. These greenhouses use dual-sided (sunlit and shaded) planting — with vegetables grown on the sunlit side and edible fungi on the shaded side. The main produce includes cucumbers, tomatoes, chili peppers, eggplants, and edible fungi, supplying high-end organic vegetables to urban areas and surrounding regions.

Fruit and Vegetable Picking Area: A 6,600-square-meter multi-span steel-frame sightseeing and self-picking shed has been built, mainly planted with seasonal fruits and vegetables such as cherries, strawberries, grapes, and sweet persimmons. Visitors can tour the picking area and harvest fresh produce themselves. Leisure and Entertainment Area: Facilities include the Fenghuan Memorial Hall, Fenghuan Grand Stage, Farming Tools Exhibition Hall, swimming pool, pavilions and waterside pavilions, zigzag bridge, leisure corridor, agricultural technology training center, fishing center, ecological restaurant, and children’s playground. Visitors can learn about agricultural knowledge, experience rural life, enjoy ecological cuisine, and explore Fenghuan culture in an educational and entertaining environment. Happy Farm: Also known as the “One-Mu Farming Experience Park,” the land is divided into small plots measured in “mu” (a traditional Chinese unit of area), available for public rental, self-selection, and self-cultivation. Participants can manage their own vegetable plots or entrust the farm to manage them on their behalf.

Currently, the park has completed the construction of pavilions and waterside structures, a leisure corridor, and the Fenghuan Memorial Hall. Ten solar greenhouse sheds have been built, and 176 plots of the One-Mu Farming Experience Park have been opened to the market. Four dual-sided (mushroom and vegetable) planting greenhouses have been completed. The external framework of the ecological restaurant and the soilless cultivation multi-span shed has been finished. The swimming pool and the Southern Shandong Folk Museum are currently in the planning and design phase. Urban and nearby visitors can come here for sightseeing, enjoy freshly harvested organic fruits and vegetables they’ve grown themselves, experience the joy of labor, and relax. The park is set to become a “stress-relief destination for modern urban life.” The Dongda Agricultural Demonstration Park project, with a total investment of 150 million yuan, has added four new dual-sided (mushroom and vegetable) planting greenhouses. A 2,400-square-meter ecological restaurant has been completed and is undergoing interior decoration, with official operations scheduled to begin by the end of November. A 3,600-square-meter soilless cultivation multi-span shed has also been completed, and the first batch of strawberry plants has been planted.
