(1468–1535), courtesy name Zichong, was a native of Yanshan. Born in the fourth year of the Chenghua era of Emperor Xiaozong during the Ming Dynasty and died in the fourteenth year of the Jiajing era of Emperor Shizong at the age of 68. In the 23rd year of Chenghua (1487), he ranked first in the imperial examination and was appointed as an editor. During the Zhengde era, he was successively promoted to Minister of Revenue. A favored courtier, Qian Ning, secretly allied with Prince Ning, and when Fei Hong ignored their schemes, they falsely accused him of other offenses, leading him to request retirement and return home. After the downfall of Prince Ning, many in the court advocated for his reinstatement. When Emperor Shizong ascended the throne, he was reinstated and granted the title of Junior Guardian, entering the court to assist in governance. Fei Hong was prudent, had a strong sense of responsibility, and was well-versed in state affairs.
