Taiyuan She Ethnic Township: A She ethnic autonomous township under the jurisdiction of Yanshan County. It is a major producer of timber and bamboo in the county. Established as the Taiyuan She Ethnic Commune in 1980 and renamed the Taiyuan She Ethnic Autonomous Township in 1984, it is situated in the southwestern part of the county, along the upper reaches of the Chenfang River, 36 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Siquan Township of Guangze County, Fujian Province, to the south. Covering an area of 64 square kilometers with a population of 2,000, the Wanger (II)–Chenfang Highway extends to Xikeng. The township administers four village committees: Shecun, Taiyuan, Xikeng, and Ma’an. Mountainous terrain predominates, with forested land spanning 110,000 mu, accounting for 96% of the township’s total land area.
