This is Jiangxi Province’s provincial-level ecological village—Shitang Village

Shitang Village is located to the north of Changping Township, bordering Banzhushan in Shangli Town to the north, covering an area of approximately 26 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 85%.

“Unique rock formations dot the landscape with countless scenic views, while sweet springs in the ponds nourish abundant vegetation” is the best description of Shitang Village’s beauty.

Passing through the exquisite Shitang Village archway, a thousand-year-old bridge stands majestically before visitors. Beneath the bridge, the stream murmurs gently, the spring-fed pond is crystal clear, and towering trees surround the bridge, offering dense shade.

In the distance, soaring high into the clouds is Shitang’s famous scenic spot, "Chessboard Rock." Climbing Chessboard Rock and looking into the distance, the surrounding beautiful scenery unfolds before your eyes, evoking the feeling of “When I stand atop the highest peak, all other mountains appear small.”

At the foot of Chessboard Rock lies Long Cave, from which clear mountain spring water gushes out. In summer, it is cool and refreshing; in winter, it steams warmly.

The black goat farming in Shitang Village has become the most important base in the township and is also well-known throughout the county. The Changping Black Goat Restaurant in the village attracts a large number of tourists and food lovers every day.

Shitang Village, which has achieved prosperity through ecology, plans to continue relying on ecological development supplemented by tourism in the future. It is believed that in the near future, a brand-new Shitang will be presented before us.
