The Spring Macchiato Spring Salon Concert by the Miaoli County Chinese Orchestra Debuts with Charm

The Miaoli County Chinese Orchestra’s Spring Salon Concert “Spring Macchiato” will be held on April 1 (Sunday) at 19:30 in the Zhongzheng Hall of the Miaoli County Government International Culture and Tourism Bureau. Free tickets will be available for collection starting at 09:00 on March 25 (Sunday) at the first-floor service counter of the Culture and Tourism Bureau. Each person may collect up to two tickets, while supplies last.

The Spring Salon Concert “Spring Macchiato” uses plucked string instruments as a medium to express the essence of spring. In addition to traditional solo pieces, the performance repertoire includes well-known Western classical works such as Pachelbel’s “Canon” and Vivaldi’s “Spring” from The Four Seasons. The piece “Tonight ~ Sakura” for mandolin, composed by Japanese musician Ryū Mutō, will be performed on the traditional Chinese instrument ruan, presenting a refreshing and vivid musical color.

Additionally, the Miaoli County Chinese Orchestra’s activity booklet “Music Lover’s Passport” will also be available for collection starting on the 25th, with a limit of one per person, until all 12,000 copies are gone. The Music Lover’s Passport contains information on the orchestra’s eight series of 10 performances this year. Attendees can collect stamps during intermission for any performance listed in the passport, and redeem rewards based on the number of events attended during the December tally period.
