The event’s thematic pavilion will feature five major highlights of Miaoli, including the much-anticipated Tai’an Hot Springs and the romantic Tung Blossom Ancient Trail, exquisite wood carving crafts that showcase refined local artistry, and numerous leisure farms. Most notably, the “2011 Taiwan Lantern Festival” will be held in Miaoli, with the venue decorated with large red lanterns and promoted under the slogan “Centennial Nation Building, Taiwan Lantern Festival in Miaoli” to create a lively atmosphere and warmly invite the public to join this spectacular Miaoli tourism event.

During the travel fair, the event kicked off with Miaoli County Magistrate lighting the large red lantern, followed by activities such as “Puppeteer Xin’s New Tricks” storytelling, “Dancing Mountain City, Bursting with Energy” international ballroom dance performances, and a “Tea Ceremony Exhibition” highlighting Miaoli’s tea culture, inviting guests to enjoy the flavors of tea.
