Sanyuan Township in Miaoli County will hold its first-ever "Sanyuan Hidden Teas" event. Renowned tea masters, in the spirit of sharing tea and friendship, invite tea enthusiasts to join in the tasting. To maintain the quality of the experience, participants must register by phone, with only 30 spots available for the tea session.

Every July and August, the famed "Sanyuan Pears" of Miaoli Sanyuan Township attract many visitors eager to taste them. Crisp, juicy, and sweet, each pear can reach a sugar content of over 12 degrees. But besides the Japanese variety of "Sanyuan Pear," Sanyuan Township is also one of Taiwan’s main production areas for Oriental Beauty Tea.

The tea-making history of Sanyuan Township in Miaoli can be traced back to the Japanese colonial period. The area's mountain-surrounded, riverside environment is perfect for growing tea trees, producing tea leaves of very high quality. This year, the event is specially organized by two top Sanwan tea masters — Liao Shengrong and Lin Xiufeng — both winners of the Golden Agriculture Award, who, in the spirit of sharing tea and making friends, are holding the first "Sanyuan Hidden Teas" event. They will share this year’s competition-grade teas with honored guests.

The event will also feature the brewing of the "First-Class First Tea," winner of the "101 National Oriental Beauty Tea Evaluation Competition," valued at approximately NT$150,000 per pound — an unmissable gathering for any tea lover. Additionally, the tea session will specially prepare "current competition teas" and "collectible ceramic jars," allowing guests to personally fill their own annual competition tea and take home the sealed jar as a keepsake.
