Yulong Ski Resort

Yulong Ski Resort is located 7 kilometers north of Jixian County, beside the Jinfeng Highway, and is 125 kilometers from Tianjin. Here, everything is blanketed in snow, with green cypresses scattered throughout, situated at the heart of several major scenic areas in Jixian County, boasting a unique geographical position. To the west lies Panshan, a national-level scenic area that combines natural landscapes with historic sites, as well as Buddhist temples and imperial gardens, along with Shiqu Garden, rich in cultural heritage; to the east are the Baxianshan National Nature Reserve, Jiulongshan National Forest Park, Jiudingshan with its strong mountain village charm, Longquanshan Amusement Park and Qingshanling Jinsong Park with their pastoral appeal, and the newly opened Maojiayu Yuan Gu Qi Shi Lin Scenic Area, known as a “natural geological museum,” and Limumen Scenic Area, hailed as the “Shennongjia of Tianjin”; to the north is the Huangyaguan Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a national 4A-level attraction; and to the south is the Dule Temple, a key national cultural relic protection unit and an ancient Liao Dynasty Buddhist temple.

This ski resort is built entirely in accordance with national standards. It features two beginner and intermediate slopes, one 500 meters long and the other 800 meters, as well as a snow tubing run. The average width of each slope is 50 meters, with the steepest incline reaching 17 degrees. The resort is fully equipped with ski boards, ski suits, and other amenities, and staffed by multiple professional ski instructors. The ski area is fully equipped for skiing, snow viewing, and snow play. Visitors can not only experience the thrill of speeding down the slopes but also admire the breathtaking northern scenery where “mountains dance like silver snakes and plains gallop like wax elephants.” Additionally, guests can enjoy snowman building and snowball fights with family and friends.
