Following the mountain stream and entering the valley, you step into the territory of Jiushan Mountain. The Huangyaguan Great Wall winds like a giant dragon through the towering mountains. Along the stream valley, the slopes are adorned with blooming peach blossoms, willows in fresh green, vibrant mountain flowers, fragrant fruits, and graceful scenery; brick houses and uniquely styled small buildings are scattered across the landscape. Looking south from Changzhou Village, Dadong Mountain features a “Heaven-Reaching Divine Palm” and a “Phoenix Greeting the Sun.” Yutou Mountain showcases a pair of stone lions dancing facing each other—truly a place of wonder, peculiarity, and uniqueness. It is characterized mainly by its mountains, water, forests, and caves, and distinguished by its grandeur, strangeness, serenity, and beauty. Here, visitors can admire flowers atop the summit, explore deep valleys, enjoy springs and waterfalls, and go fruit picking in autumn. In an age when humanity yearns for forests, Jiushan Mountain has become an ideal place to return to nature.

Xiaying Town: A Millennium-Old Town with Historical Figures. Xiaying Town boasts a long history, established about 1,500 years ago, originally named "Huangya Camp." To its due south stands Qitou Mountain as a screen; to the southwest lie the ancient sites of Qishan Lan Shui Cave; to the north are the ruins of the Dragon King Temple, Zhenwu Temple, and Guandi Temple. Legend has it that Xiaying Town was first built during the Spring and Autumn or Warring States period. To defend against the Xiongnu, the imperial court constructed a stone city here with three gates—east, west, and south—and stationed soldiers for protection. In the 48th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, the camp was renovated, using massive stones from Qishan to encircle the city.
