As autumn arrives with refreshing breezes and the fragrance of ripe fruits fills the air, the picturesque land of Yuyang is bathed in a scene of harvest. On September 26, the 22nd China · Tianjin Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival, jointly organized by the Tianjin Municipal Tourism Administration and the People’s Government of Jixian County, kicked off at the foot of Panshan Mountain. Sixteen tourism activities—including the “Enjoy Yuyang” Golden Autumn Joyful Tours, the “Follow & Win” Weibo & WeChat scan campaigns, and an in-depth exploration of the Beiqi Ancient Great Wall at Huangyaguan—offered both domestic and international visitors a rich and festive experience.
Held annually, the Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival is a key national tourism event and a signature tourism brand of Tianjin. Having successfully taken place for 21 previous editions, its influence continues to grow, while its content becomes increasingly diverse. It has become an important platform for Jixian County to promote itself, attract investment, and showcase its charm, as well as a “carnival” for tourists from around the world.
Located in the heart of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Jixian County boasts abundant natural resources, beautiful mountains and clear waters, splendid scenery, profound cultural heritage, and numerous historic sites. Recognized by the United Nations as a “Millennium Ancient County” and celebrated as a historical and cultural city of Tianjin, it is often referred to as the “Back Garden of Beijing and Tianjin.” In recent years, under the correct leadership of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Jixian has capitalized on its ecological and cultural advantages, vigorously advanced the strategy of “revitalizing the county through tourism,” accelerated the development of a full tourism industry chain, continuously improved tourism infrastructure, significantly enhanced service standards, and promoted the clustered development of tourism and cultural industries.
At the opening ceremony, the three regions of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei jointly launched the release of premium tour routes for the Jingdong Leisure Tourism Demonstration Zone. Six distinctive premium routes were introduced: the Imperial Culture Tour in Jingdong, the Yanshan Cultural Experience Tour, the River Basin Gourmet Tour, the Premium Business Tour, the Anti-Japanese Red Tour in Eastern Hebei, and the Geological Science Tour. The launch of these Jingdong tourism demonstration zone routes marks a significant step forward in the coordinated tourism development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, holding great importance for promoting “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration.” The ceremony also hosted a major investment signing event for Jixian County, where nine new energy and new material enterprises, including Beijing Bona Electric, signed contracts on-site with the People’s Government of Jixian County, with a total investment of 6.9 billion yuan. This follows another wave of investment on August 26, when 30 major projects totaling 19.5 billion yuan settled in Jixian.
Themed “Savoring Leisure Culture and Experiencing Jingdong’s Jixian,” this year’s tourism festival will run for 20 days from September 26 to October 15. During the festival, 16 exciting tourism events will be held, including the Luozhuangzi Hongxiangsu Pear Golden Autumn Harvest Festival, the Maojiayu Longevity Resort Experience Tour, the Farmhouse Cuisine Competition, the Yuyang Chrysanthemum Exhibition, the Fine Fruits Exhibition and Sales, and the Red Leaf Viewing Festival.
