  Tianjin specialty—kiwifruit, is one of the "New Three Treasures" of Jizhou. Kiwifruit is an ancient wild plant, shaped like a pear and colored like a peach, with fragrant, juicy flesh that is sweet and tangy in just the right balance. The Baxiantable Primitive Forest in Jizhou is home to numerous kiwifruit trees, which bear abundant fruit every autumn.

         Specialty culture: The texture of kiwifruit is soft, and its flavor is sometimes described as a blend of strawberry, banana, and pineapple. It is named kiwifruit because monkeys love to eat it; another theory suggests it is named for the fuzzy skin that resembles a monkey's face. Kiwifruit is the fruit of the Actinidia plant. With one of the highest vitamin C contents among fruits, a single kiwifruit can provide more than double the daily vitamin C requirement for an individual, earning it the title "King of Fruits." Kiwifruit is highly popular around the world and is also known as the "World’s Precious Fruit." In the United States, it is called "Chinese gooseberry," while in the UK, it is referred to as "Chinese gooseberry."

         Specialty benefits: Kiwifruit has rich, juicy flesh that is fragrant, delicious, sweet and tangy, and keeps well. Fresh kiwifruit, when harvested at the right time, can last up to a month at room temperature without spoiling; under low-temperature conditions, it can even be preserved for five to six months or longer. In addition to being eaten fresh, it can also be processed into juice, jam, wine, canned fruit in syrup, dried fruit, and preserves. These products come in yellow, brown, or orange hues, with attractive colors and delicious flavors. Their nutritional value is no less than that of fresh kiwifruit, making them a health food for sailors, pilots, high-altitude workers, and those working in hot environments. Kiwifruit juice has become the preferred health drink for national athletes and is also a nourishing fruit for the elderly, children, and those who are weak or often ill.

         1. Eating grilled food frequently can increase the incidence of cancer, as grilled food undergoes nitration reactions in the body after consumption, producing carcinogens. However, the rich vitamin C in kiwifruit acts as an antioxidant, effectively inhibiting these nitration reactions and preventing cancer;

         2. The latest medical research shows that adult depression has a physiological basis and is related to a lack of certain brain neurotransmitters. The serotonin in kiwifruit helps stabilize mood and calm the mind, and its natural inositol aids brain activity, thus helping people suffering from depression overcome their low moods;

         3. Kiwifruit contains excellent dietary fiber, which not only helps lower cholesterol and promote heart health, but also aids digestion, prevents constipation, and quickly clears and prevents the buildup of harmful metabolic substances in the body.
