Data speaks volumes: Nearly double year-on-year growth, Ji County goes “crazy popular” during May Day

Ji County’s upgrade journey continues. In 2014, the Ji County Party Committee and County Government increased support, with plans already underway for the Ji Zhou Tourism Culture Group to invest in the renovation and reconstruction of rural tourism villages such as Chuan Cang Yu, Dong Shan, and Si Gou. Projects to renovate the entrance areas of Huangyaguan Scenic Area, Limu Tai Scenic Area, and Baxian Mountain Scenic Area, aiming to enhance reception capacity and improve service facilities, are also being planned. Likewise, a large-scale landscape live performance titled "Tian Xia · Qing Shan" (The World · The Love Mountain), created in collaboration between Mei Shuaiyuan, the founder of China’s real-scene performances, and the Ji Zhou Tourism Culture Group, with an investment of over 200 million yuan, is highly anticipated. Based on Ji Zhou’s rich and diverse historical and cultural heritage, and drawing material from the historical anecdotes of Emperor Qianlong’s 32 visits to Panshan and the legendary tales of his romance with a local Panshan woman, this performance features a powerful cast of over 400 actors. Through the artistic use of lighting, song and dance, music, and illusions, it recreates the grandeur of Buddhism in Panshan’s heyday, the majesty of the Qing imperial court, and the rustic charm of Ji Zhou’s mountain folk life. It presents an extraordinary and eternal love story, delivering to audiences a visual feast described as “singing voices as divine as heavenly music, lanterns illuminating the mountain peaks, a mystical valley, and a stage shimmering with radiant splendor.”
