Jixian National Geopark

Jixian National Geopark is a national geopark and a science education base.

Introduction: Tianjin Jixian National Geopark was established on December 10, 2001, with approval from the Ministry of Land and Resources of China. It spans from Jiudingshan Mountain in the north to Fojunshan Mountain in the south, and from Baxianshan Mountain in the east to Panshan Mountain in the west, covering an area of 342 square kilometers. According to scenic area division principles, Tianjin Jixian National Geopark is divided into 7 scenic areas: 1. Mesoproterozoic Geological Nature Reserve; 2. Baxianshan Quartzite Peak Forest Canyon Scenic Area; 3. Panshan Granite Landform Scenic Area; 4. Jiulongshan Carbonate Rock Peak Cluster Scenic Area; 5. Huangyaguan Cliff Landform Scenic Area; 6. Jiudingshan Quartz Sandstone Peak Forest Scenic Area; 7. Fojunshan Geological Structure Heritage Scenic Area.
