Xiayang Town: Xiayang Town is a renowned historical and cultural town in Fujian Province, an important commercial hub, and a major grain-producing area within Yanping District. It is situated in the northwest of Nanping City, Fujian Province, approximately 48 kilometers from downtown Nanping. To the east, it borders Mangdang Town; to the south, it adjoins Wangtai Town; to the west, it meets Shunchang County; and to the north, it neighbors Jian'ou. The town is embraced by Yuping Mountain and Zhaoke Mountain, with the Futun River flowing through it. Hence, it earned its name — “Xiá (峡), meaning a narrow passage between two mountains and a river; Yáng (阳), referring to the sunny side, i.e., south of the mountain and north of the water.” The area enjoys a mid-subtropical monsoon climate, characterized by no severe summer heat or winter cold, with an average annual temperature of 19.3°C, annual precipitation of 1,600 mm, and a frost-free period of over 280 days.
