Ride T-Bike to Explore Tainan During Chinese New Year – 10 New Stations Including Chihkan Tower and Yenping Prince Shrine Now Open

Following the launch of its tourism calendar, Tainan’s public bicycle system T-Bike is adding ten new stations in and around the city’s historical districts to accommodate the surge in visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Since its launch last August, T-Bike has recorded over 30,000 rides in less than six months. Currently, ten stations have been set up near attractions such as the Chimei Museum, Tainan Metropolitan Park, and Tainan Science Park, with plans to expand to fifty stations this year. In preparation for the Lunar New Year crowd, the Tainan City Transportation Bureau hasopened ten new stations at locations including the Tainan Fine Arts Museum, Chihkan Tower, Yenping Prince Shrine, Sports Park, and the temporary parking lot on Minsheng Road.

Many of Tainan’s culinary delights and historic sites are tucked away in narrow alleys, often “easy to miss by car.” In addition to considering available space for stations, locations were also chosen for their proximity to parking lots or historical landmarks to make cycling more convenient for tourists. Furthermore, riders can use an EasyCard to pay for T-Bike rentals, adding even more convenience.
