Mingyang Village: Located in the northeastern part of Nanshan Town, Mingyang Village borders Qiiancun Village to the south, connects with Dikou Town, Jian’ou, to the north, neighbors Qiiancun Village to the east, and adjoins Jiangbian Village to the west. The village covers an area of 23,144 mu; it has 333 households and a population of 1,390, with 4 natural villages and 4 villager groups. It is 57 kilometers away from downtown Yanping.

In 1947, the Jian’ou County Committee was established in Mingyang.

In 1948, the underground provincial committee of the Communist Party of China for Fujian–Zhejiang–Jiangxi held an expanded party and cadre training conference at the Li Family Ancestral Hall on Dusongling in Mingyang.
