Youkai Tomb

Youkai Tomb is a cultural relics protection unit of Yanping District.

Youkai Tomb is located in Daba Village, Nanshan Town, Yanping District, and dates back to the Song Dynasty.

Youkai Tomb has been designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Daba Village: Daba Village is situated in the central part of Nanshan Town. To the south, it borders the Nanshan town center; to the north, it connects with Fengchi Village; to the east, it neighbors Diankou Village; and to the west, it links with Shangxi Village in Xiadao Town. The village covers an area of 0.6524 square kilometers, has 548 households and a population of 2,078, and is divided into 11 villager groups. It is located 32 kilometers from downtown Yanping.

In the autumn of 1936, the Northeast Fujian Red Army, under the leadership of Commander Rao Shoukun and the political commissar, launched their second attack on the Daba District Office – the military garrison – and achieved victory.

In 1987, Daba Village was designated as a veteran revolutionary base area village at the provincial level.
