Ziyun Ancient Shore Scenic Area is located in the heart of Juguo Village. It leans against the fairy mountain to the north, is embraced by the state river to the south, faces the ancient city to the west, and neighbors the imperial mausoleum to the east. It is a treasured land of fertile soil and abundant water in Jizhou.

Introduction to Tianjin Ziyun Shui'an Lavender Garden

The Tianjin Ziyun Shui'an Lavender Garden Scenic Area is located on the northern shore of Cuiping Lake. To the north stands the Bashan Mountain National Nature Reserve, to the south it embraces Cuiping Lake, known as Tianjin’s “big water tank,” to the west it is near the ancient city of Yuyang, and to the east it borders the renowned Qingdongling site. It is a natural scenic area where wetland landscapes blend with Western lavender culture, and traditional folklore merges with modern customs. It serves as a nature reserve integrating conservation, science education, tourism, and leisure. The scenic area spans 3,000 acres and features one stream, three gardens, six ponds, and nine bridges. The Leqing Stream meanders through, cradling the three gardens in its arms; the Lavender Garden, Lotus Garden, and Waterplay Garden each offer stunning views, embracing the six ponds; the Willow Pond, Lotus Pond, Reed Pond, Cattail Pond, Duck Pond, and Fish Pond all possess unique charm, supporting the nine bridges; the Clumsy Bridge, Ingenious Bridge, and Delicate Bridge… each bridge is exquisitely designed, gracefully spanning the stream. The area harmoniously blends Chinese and Western cultural elements, showcases the wonders of both ancient and modern scenery, and also serves as a delightful leisure destination for families.

Scenery within Ziyun Shui'an

Prince Yongcheng of the Qing Dynasty, upon seeing the crystal-clear waters, undulating mists, mountains rising from the lake, peculiar rock formations hanging upside down, clouds wrapping around winding shores, and willow-lined embankments partly hidden and partly revealed, was moved to inscribe the four characters “Ziyun Ancient Shore.” Hence, this place is also known as the “Ziyun Ancient Shore” Scenic Area. The scenic area has planted over 20 varieties of flowers and plants, among which lavender is the most iconic. Introducing the renowned Western lavender culture here is both an innovation and a form of heritage.
