The Jixian Geological Museum is a science education base.

The Jixian Geological Museum is affiliated with the Jixian Land and Resources Branch of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Land Resources and Housing Management. It is a national-level science education base, with a total investment of approximately 40 million yuan. Located at the foot of Fuijun Mountain in Jixian, it stands opposite the main monument of the square. The museum covers a planned area of 17,023 square meters, with a construction scale of 5,373 square meters, including 3,433 square meters for the geological and historical exhibition halls, and 254 square meters for the video hall. The venue was completed and opened to the public on August 16, 2009.

The Geological Museum consists of a Geological Hall and a Historical Hall. The first floor houses the Geological Hall, while the second floor contains the Historical Hall. The Geological Hall includes an introductory lobby, an exhibition hall introducing the Mesoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic stratigraphic profiles, an Earth Hall, an Eight Major Scenic Areas Hall, a Jixian Mineral Resources Hall, a Fossil Hall, and a Mineral and Rock Hall. These systematically showcase the records and natural heritage left by the 4.6 billion-year evolution of the Earth in Jixian, representing the geological history, events, or evolutionary processes of the Tianjin region and even northern China. The Historical Hall presents new archaeological discoveries in Jixian and depicts 7,000 years of human civilization in Tianjin.

The museum educates the public about the historical features and rich geological heritage resources of Jixian in Tianjin, encouraging people—especially young people—to engage in learning about geology. It promotes the widespread dissemination of related knowledge and concepts, attracting nearly 20,000 visitors annually.
