Chaoyang An

Chaoyang An is a cultural relic protection unit of Tianjin Municipality.

Chaoyang An is located in Donghouziyu Village, Guanzhuang Town, Jizhou District, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

Legend has it that Chaoyang An was built by the monk Tongdao during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty. The original structure included a front hall with three rooms, a rear hall with three rooms, and several auxiliary rooms, all distinguished by their uniquely stone pillars. It earned the name "Chaoyang An" (Temple of Morning Sun) as it was built facing the sunrise and dedicated to Guanyin. It has a history of approximately 700 years.

On May 16, 2020, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of cultural relic protection units of Tianjin Municipality by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government.
