The Pagoda of Master Puzhao at Wansong Temple is a Tianjin Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Pagoda of Master Puzhao at Wansong Temple is located at the northern foot of Panshan Mountain in Lianhua Ridge Village, Guanzhuang Town, Jizhou District, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Master Puzhao’s Pagoda is located at Wansong Temple on Panshan Mountain in Jizhou County and was built during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty. It consists of a base, the main body of the pagoda, five layers of dense eaves, and a finial. Both the Sumeru pedestal and the projecting eaves are supported by brick brackets and wooden dougong, while the corners of the pagoda body feature relief carvings of stupas, and the door and window brick carvings are exquisitely crafted. In the fourth year of the Wanli era during the Ming Dynasty, Master Puzhao resided here as abbot, chanting four-character Buddhist scriptures and guiding people toward goodness. Emperor Shenzong of Ming, Zhu Yijun, once inscribed the two characters “Qing Xin” (Pure Heart) for this hermitage. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty bestowed the name “Wansong Temple.” In the 14th year of Kangxi’s reign, he wrote the plaque “Le Tian Zhen” (Joy of Nature) for the main hall. Emperor Qianlong inscribed the eave plaque “Ci Yu Wan Wu” (Compassion Nurtures All Things) for the hall.

On May 16, 2020, the Tianjin Municipal People's Government announced it as part of the fifth batch of Tianjin Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Units.
